Frustrated with the current run of form, Manchester United frontman Cristiano Ronaldo has told his agent Jorge Mendes to find him a new club, claims the Spanish news outlet, sports

Recent reports circling the former Real Madrid forward say the player has issued an ultimatum that he will quit the club if the new manager isn’t to his liking. Amidst all the drama, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if Ronaldo is ‘re-linked’ with Barcelona.

Ronaldo is among one of the several Manchester United players who have expressed their discontent with interim boss Ralf Rangnick’s approach. Fed up with the tactics and coupled with the poor form, Ronaldo is likely to have reached the boiling point.

Rangnick, who will take up a consultancy role after his managerial contract ends, reportedly wants to reduce the number of players he has within the rank, and as it seems, Ronaldo has not done much to win over Rangnick’s trust.

Manchester United’s pain will be Barcelona pleasure. As reported by the aforementioned outlet, Ronaldo, together with Mendes, will force his name in the Barcelona office in the coming months. The parties involved know the Catalan club is actively hunting a striker after losing Sergio Aguero to an unfortunate heart problem.

Mendes actually enjoys a strong working relationship with Barcelona officials,, including director of football Mateu Alemany and president Joan Laporta. And this should supposedly be enough for Ronaldo to land himself a new club for the 2022-23 football season.

Despite being on the wrong side of 30, Ronaldo has shown no signs of slowing down. The Portugal captain has scored 14 goals and has provided three assists in 21 outings across all competitions.

The numbers are staggering for a Barcelona team that is averaging a lowly 1.5 goals per match in La Liga, but it remains to be seen whether there is any substance to the claims as Ronaldo has a contract until 2023 with Manchester United.
